About the Faculty

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established in 1975 under the name ‘Faculty of Science and Technology’. It works in accordance with a strategy aimed to adapt technology and applied sciences to serve the purposes of development, and connect science with practice, providing students with experience and skills in various technical fields. It also aims to link the objectives of technical engineering education with the Sudanese environment, leading to an appropriate technology, which helps to achieve development in the country. It was the first faculty in Sudan to grant bachelor’s degrees in food engineering technology and textile engineering technology. The faculty offers industrial training as an integral part of the academic activities in all its programs in order to link theory with practical reality.
