Academic programs

A. Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Communication Sciences.

Based on the approval of the revised curriculum for the Faculty of Communication Sciences by the Faculty Council on June 20, 2010, which is being implemented starting with the 33rd cohort, Al-Jazeera University, upon the request of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, awards a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Communication Sciences in the following specializations:

1. Radio and Television.

2. Journalism and Publishing.

3. Public Relations.

Based on the approval of the revised curriculum for the Faculty of Communication Sciences by the Faculty Council on June 20, 2010, which is being implemented starting with the 33rd cohort, Al-Jazeera University, upon the request of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, awards:

A. Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Communication Sciences in the specializations of Media and Advocacy and Communication Systems.

B. Technical Diploma in Media (two years).

C. Technical Diploma in Advocacy (two years).

D. Postgraduate Diploma in Advocacy.

E. Postgraduate Diploma in Media.

F. Master of Science by Research in Advocacy. g. Master’s degree by research in media.

h. Doctorate by research in advocacy.

i. Doctorate by research in media.

In 2022, the college’s name was changed from the College of Communication Sciences to the College of Media. It has undergone significant development and modernization, including the establishment of its laboratories, committees, councils, and studios. This aims to enhance students’ skills, advance scientific research, and train them in the latest developments and technologies in the field of media and communication. This is due to the remarkable advancements of the technological revolution and electronic media, which have impacted media studies and curricula, creating new challenges for students and researchers.
