The Department of Educational Media and Learning Technology is a vital department within colleges of education. It focuses on providing the knowledge and skills necessary for designing, developing, and utilizing modern educational media and technologies in the educational process.

Growth and Development:
The Department of Educational Media and Learning Technologies was established in 2007. It separated from the Department of Educational Sciences to become an independent entity, driven by the increasing knowledge and rapid technological advancements. The department also played a crucial role in addressing recent disasters in the country, such as infectious diseases (COVID-19) and war, by developing e-learning programs in collaboration with other departments.
Societal Impact:
1. Participation in community and environmental issues.
2. Training teachers in the Ministry of Education at the local and state levels.
3. Implementation of various community programs, including awareness, educational, health, and cultural initiatives.
Future Aspirations:
The department aims to offer intermediate diploma programs in Educational Media and Learning Technologies, as well as bachelor’s degree programs in the field.
