Faculty of Education - Hasahesa-Department of English

Department Objectives:

The department aims to prepare students proficient in English across its four skills (listening, reading, writing, and speaking) to become competent teachers who will effectively educate future generations at the undergraduate level.

At the postgraduate level, the department works to qualify students and equip them with diverse knowledge in various aspects of the English language to meet the needs of the job market in universities, institutes, and companies both within and outside Sudan.

Development and Growth:
The department is committed to training and qualifying faculty members to keep pace with modern teaching methods. It also works to develop and update curricula to meet the needs of students.

Supervision and Scientific Research: 

The department places great importance on this aspect, recognizing its crucial role in enhancing faculty competence, improving the university’s ranking, and establishing it as a distinguished institution.
Development of courses and curricula:
The department was keen to develop and update the curricula to meet the needs of students, and then to update and develop the curricula to keep pace with modern changes in the field of education. This was in the year 1999 AD, then in the year 2019 AD and in the year 2025 AD.

Community impacts:
The department has a significant social role, especially in the field of training and qualifying teachers in public education, holding workshops, and presenting scientific papers that discuss education issues in general and in particular issues of learning English (problems and solutions).
