The Environmental administration at the University of Gezira began planting (50) fruitful trees in Al-Razi campus in Wad Medani, as part of a plan aimed at planting more than 260 trees in the campus. The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Mohammad Taha Yousif and a number of officials at the environment administration participated in the process of planting mango trees seedlings and securing them with iron cages. Long discussions took place on issues related to securing the Fences of the ”Campus” to protect modern trees and seedlings from encroachments, as well as reclaiming large areas of land and securing irrigation.
The Vice Chancellor of the University and his accompanying delegation inspected the ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation works in the rest house campus and directed to take advantage of the surrounding areas and fill the shortage of specialized workers, and preparing an integrated plan to provide an integrated accommodation and tourism services.
