French Ambassador Emmanuel Platman Visits University of Gezira

French Ambassador Amanuel Platman stressed that France Strongly supports new Sudan. This came during her visit on the first of December to the University of Gezira, where he was received by Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Gezira Prof. Sami Mahjoub and the principle of the University Dr. Badr Al-Din ElSunni  at El Razi campus and the purpose of the visit was to communicate with the French league and knowing about the activities of the embassy, accompanied the ambassador on this visit a delegation of inspectors from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, French Cultural Counselor and Cultural Attaché at the Embassy. The Ambassador expressed her happiness to visit the French league at Wad Medani for the second time, and opened the accompanying exhibitions which organized by the league in cooperation with the French league in El Obied and her Excellency presented many modern books to revive   French League libraries. Shezi praised with the role of the University of Gezira by allocating the headquarters of the league in its buildings in El Razi campus, noting that the University is one of the largest academic partners. Prof. Sami Mahgoub stressed the strength and depth of relations between France and Sudan in scientific cooperation and training.  The delegation had met with the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University and the principle of the University and a number of deans of faculties and institutes and heads of departments of the French language at the International Conference Hall in El Razi, the meeting discussed ways of joint cooperation in exchanging scientific and practical experiences. For her part, Amanuel expressed the continued support of the embassy to the University and more fruitful cooperation in the coming period.  Prof.Sami Mahjoub reviewed the change that took place in Sudan through the glorious December revolution, which is entitled (freedom – peace – justice) similar to the orientation of the French Republic motto (freedom – fraternity – justice) and called on the embassy to support the membership of the University in the forums of international Universities, especially the Agency of the Francophone University Agency and maintaining effective University membership in the Agency , stressing its support for further cooperation and training. The French Ambassador concluded her visit to the University with visited University Farm and Plant Pathology Center at the University.
