The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at University of Gezira organized a reception ceremony for the students of the batch 41 and honored the ceremony the Vice Chancellor of the University, the family of the faculty, the commissioner of El Kamlin and the locality leaders Judiciary, administrative, legislative, executive and security. The Vice Chancellor of the University visited a number of buildings at the faculty before opening the building of the French language department. He also visited Prof. Abdel Salam Mahmoud Abdullah Center for Researches and Humanities studies which is scheduled to open at the beginning of the year 2019. The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Mohamed El Sanousi Mohamed pledged to establish and support the center . He welcomed with the students of the batch “41”, and said: “You are now belonging to the University and we are happy to join to the University,” expressing his satisfaction with the activities of the University Students Union, and added: “Union is an institution we have respect.” From his part the commissioner of El Kamlin locality Taylallah Ahmad Fadlallah, said that University of Gezira is one of the oldest educational institutions, and it has contributed through its experinces and academic capabilities In the promotion of the investment in an excellent way in the field of education in Sudan, Indicating that the Faculty of Arts in El Kamlin became a part of the local community. The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Sciences Dr. Hamida Mohammed Ahmed, said that the University since its establishment has always put the issues of the society in the list of interests, he expressed his happiness with the visit of the Vice Chancellor of the University to participate in the reception of the new students, he pointed out that the center of Prof. Abdel Salam Mahmoud Abdullah for researches and humanities studies is a Waqf Center . He said that “
the doors of the faculty are open to everyone who wants to serve his relatives in El Kamlin”.
