An extreme orientation in the University of Gezira, has been occurred due to the praises which the University Administration received as a result of honours and excellence of its students who participated in many different activities and events, that led to form a caring body concerned in innovations of students.
The Dean of Students’ Affairs, Rodwan Ahmed Gasm al-Seed, said in delivered speech, during the first day of the Sixth Engineering Week at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, on the last Sunday, that the University should have to form a caring body for the innovations of students.
The Secretary of Scientific Affairs and the Representative of the University of Gezira, praised the proposal to form a caring body that sponsor for the innovations of students, for that he believed the researches remain locked in the drawers unless it turns to innovations. He also praised the evaluated efforts of the students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, expressing his happiness for their excellence in the scientific and practical field.
For his part, the Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Salah Al-Din Al-Arabi, called on the private sector to contribute to fostering the creativity, activities and graduation projects of the students, as well as giving them the opportunity to receive training courses. He expressed his appreciation for the sponsorship of Zain Telecom and MBS for programming for the Sixth Engr. Week.
Al-Arabi said that the Faculty administration is keen to create an academic environment that helps students to highlight their creations. He continued: “Rehabilitation, maintenance and modernization of halls, laboratories and devices were carried out.” Adding that “We also have a curriculum development committee that is constantly developing it.”
The Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Rodwan Ahmed Gasm al-Seed, asserted that the University Administration should work on forming a body to take care of the “innovations” of students at University of Gezira, due to the praises and appreciations he received on the participations of the students in a number of activities and events. He expressed his satisfaction with the level of organizing the 6th Engineer Week and announced the donation of ten thousand SDG.
