Vission

Initially, the Admissions and Registration Department at the College of Graduate Studies seeks to achieve leadership and excellence in providing admissions, registration and academic advising services, and to be a model of efficiency and reliability at the level of higher education institutions, through an integrated electronic system that contributes to attracting distinguished researchers and facilitating their scientific mission.

Mission

The department is responsible for implementing the policies and procedures for admitting and registering graduate students, and monitoring their academic progress until graduation, all within a framework of fairness and transparency, and in accordance with approved academic regulations. The department is committed to providing an accurate and secure academic database and delivering high-quality administrative and academic services that support the college and university’s mission in scientific research and community service.

Goals

1. Implementing the general policies for postgraduate admissions in accordance with the decisions of the relevant college and university councils, ensuring equal opportunities and fairness in the selection process.

2. Simplifying and facilitating admission and registration procedures by developing the college’s electronic portal and providing all necessary forms and instructions to students in a clear and accessible manner.

3. Overseeing the registration of all students in courses and monitoring their academic status, including registration, withdrawal, addition, deferral, and interruption, in accordance with the postgraduate studies regulations.

4. Creating, storing, and updating students’ academic records electronically in a secure manner that ensures data accuracy and easy retrieval when needed.

5. Issuing official student statements, certificates, and documents in accordance with established procedures and as quickly as possible.

6. Providing academic support and guidance to students in cooperation with program coordinators to address any difficulties they may encounter and ensure their smooth academic progress and graduation within the prescribed timeframes. 7. Enhancing the efficiency of department staff through ongoing professional development and training programs, and keeping abreast of developments in student information systems.

8. Preparing periodic reports and statistics related to the number of admitted, registered, and graduating students, and providing them to the college administration and relevant departments.
