About
The Programs and Development Department is one of the departments within the College of Graduate Studies at Al Jazeera University. The department strives to offer advanced graduate programs that meet the rapidly evolving needs of the job market, while creating a stimulating learning environment aimed at knowledge transfer, developing and enhancing modern skills, and cultivating technical and administrative capabilities to keep pace with scientific and professional advancements, all while serving the community. The department also designs comprehensive training and development programs, based on a thorough study of training needs and aligned with Al Jazeera University’s goals and strategies, to build a learned, creative, and innovative society.

Mission
The constant endeavor to implement postgraduate programs in cooperation with the departments in the various colleges, institutes and centers of the university by providing high-quality educational programs, updating educational systems, and qualifying researchers capable of innovation and competition locally, regionally and globally and contributing to serving the community.

1. Developing and Innovating Academic Programs: Working to develop and enhance existing graduate programs and introducing new, high-quality programs that meet labor market needs and keep pace with emerging knowledge.
2. Creating a Conducive Learning and Research Environment: Focusing on developing a distinguished teaching and research environment and providing high-quality teaching services for graduate programs.
3. Developing Administrative Staff, Support Staff, Faculty, and Students: Raising the administrative and professional standards and developing faculty members and students in research and skills.
4. Supporting Scientific Research: Preparing qualified research personnel and encouraging applied research that provides solutions to local, national, and international problems, and promoting research aimed at serving the community.
5. Implementing Quality Assurance and Accreditation Standards: Promoting and implementing the concept of quality within the college, and accrediting graduate programs in accordance with local, regional, and international quality and accreditation standards. 6. Strategic Partnerships: Strengthening local, regional, and international strategic cooperation and partnerships with universities, bodies, scientific research centers, and other relevant institutions to keep pace with scientific developments by updating graduate studies, research, and education programs.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
I welcome you all to the Programs and Development Department, College of Graduate Studies, University of Gezira, Sudan. In this meeting, we gather to exchange experiences and discuss the latest developments in the department, as we believe that investing in people is the cornerstone of any institution’s success. Our achievements are the result of teamwork and the dedication of every member of our team, and I appreciate your continuous efforts and your commitment to innovation and quality.
The strategic goal of this department is to strive to offer advanced graduate programs that meet the needs of the labor market while creating a stimulating learning environment aimed at transferring knowledge, developing modern skills, and enhancing technical and administrative capabilities to keep pace with the rapid developments in the labor market, in addition to serving the community. We are also committed to designing comprehensive training and development programs, based on a thorough study of training needs and aligned with our institution’s strategic objectives. We are here to build a learning, creative, and innovative society. We in the Programs and Development Department face rapidly evolving challenges that demand flexibility, the adoption of best technological practices, and the effective management of academic programs and projects. Therefore, we will continue to invest in training and team capacity building, enhance interdepartmental collaboration, and adopt advanced technological solutions that ensure the sustainability of academic performance and improve the beneficiary experience.
We invite you all to actively participate, contribute innovative ideas, and share successes and lessons learned. Development is an ongoing journey, and together we can transform challenges into opportunities and achieve the institution’s goals with a clear vision and a well-defined action plan.
