The Department of Statistics and Information Technology is a vital department that combines statistical analysis and modern technologies, with the aim of supporting scientific research and developing knowledge in the fields of analysis, planning, information management, and the use of modern systems in line with rapid scientific and technological developments, and contributing effectively to serving society and development.
Vission
Excellence and leadership in statistics and information technology, supporting digital transformation, and developing knowledge, so that the department becomes an advanced reference in data analysis, and providing innovative solutions that serve the College of Graduate Studies and the community.
Mission
The department works to develop and apply statistical and technical knowledge, and to harness modern technologies in data analysis and processing, in order to provide accurate and effective data-driven solutions, while promoting cooperation and building professional partnerships that contribute to serving the College of Graduate Studies and the community.
Goals
1. Continuously develop the college’s technological infrastructure in collaboration with relevant entities.
2. Apply modern statistical methods to analyze real-world problems.
3. Ensure the efficient operation, continuity, and regular maintenance of technical equipment.
4. Develop and efficiently manage the college’s computerized systems.
5. Meet the college’s needs for modern technologies, equipment, and systems.
6. Maintain the internal network and address malfunctions quickly and effectively.
7. Support decision-making through the preparation and analysis of statistical reports.
8. Monitor and evaluate the performance of computerized systems through periodic reports.
9. Develop the capabilities of human resources in the field of information technology.
10. Enhance media coverage to ensure the professional reporting of events and activities that accurately reflects performance and supports effective information dissemination.
11. Improve and update the college’s electronic content (website).
12. Enhance electronic communication through the management of corporate email.
13. Support digital transformation through the management of electronic examinations and virtual meetings.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Statistics and Information Technology at the College of Graduate Studies. This department strives for excellence in the fields of statistics and technology. In light of the rapid advancements in data and information technology, the department continues its efforts to be a cornerstone in supporting academic and research excellence within the College of Graduate Studies.
We in the department believe that data is the foundation of knowledge and that technology is the means of development. Therefore, we work to harness modern capabilities to provide an integrated educational and technological environment that supports scientific research, enhances the efficiency of electronic systems, keeps pace with the requirements of digital transformation, ensures the continuity of network operations, and guarantees the quality of electronic services provided to the college’s staff. The department also oversees various electronic platforms and seeks to enhance the capabilities of its human resources through continuous training, keeping abreast of the rapid developments in the field of information technology.
