University of Gezira Signs A Memorandum of Understanding with A Delegation from the Foreign Trade platform in Turkey
University of Gezira signed today, a memorandum of understanding with a delegation from the Republic of Turkey for joint work in the field of agricultural machinery technology, seed production, and industrial investment. The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Mohammad Taha Yousif said that the discussion on cooperation between the two sides touched on the scientific and practical approach, to benefit from the experiences and capabilities of the two parties, noting that the signed memorandum of understanding included coordinating joint efforts to develop work in the field of agricultural and industrial investment. He added: “We are looking forward to benefiting from the technology of agricultural machinery. We have capabilities, expertise and scientific experiments at the university. We have previously conducted very successful experiments in licensing and producing seeds, and we also have clear criteria for licensing agricultural machinery.” For his part, The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foreign Trade Platform in Turkey Erdogan Oren expressed his pleased to visit the University of Gezira, in view of its capabilities, in addition to its distinction, noting that they would like to inform the University administration of the Turkish model in terms of industrial development and agricultural. He said: “Good preparation leads us to good production.” He added: “We and the University of Gezira would like to move forward. We are fully confident that we will work together to implement what we have agreed upon to reach our desired goals.” It is noteworthy that the Turkish delegation includes representatives from the foreign trade platform and a representative of the Ministry of Trade.
