Discussing Issues of Scientific Research and the Academic Environment in the Faculties of Business Studies and Languages in Al Hilalia

Acting Dean of Scientific Research and Innovation Dr. Moataz Saeed Babiker Mahmoud and director of Engineering department Eng. Abdel Ghaffar Mohamed Ahmed presented congratulations of Eid El- Adha to the family of the faculty of Business Studies in El Hilalia. Dean of the faculty Dr. Widad Mahmoud and teaching staff at the faculty welcomed with the visit and briefed the delegation on the details of the academic environment with its various components and visited the health unit and discussed plans for development and modernization and completing urgent deficiencies to ensure the provision of integrated treatment services to students. During a joint working session the two parties have discussed a number of issues that may delay the academic aspects among them is the delay approved by the Dean of the faculty in the aspect of scientific research. Dr. Moataz noted that working to provide a stimulating research environment for researchers and the research process at the University and to develop the infrastructure for scientific research in line with international best practices. It is a genuine goal of the Deanship. He noted that the policy of higher education proceeded with the direction of financing research groups, which imposes the reality of establishing research work led by a specialized committee and he called for doubling efforts in preparing scientific proposals and attracting external Scholarships with repeated attempts to request them.  He stated that the Deanship implements training, support, and encouragement programs and raising the research capabilities and distinguished competencies of teaching staff, in a way that contributes to the development of society. Stressing the importance of following up and joining these programs. He referred to the possibility of commercial studies adopting scientific solutions to current economic reality issues through research groups as a contribution to achieving development priorities and linking scientific research to the community’s needs in various fields. The same vision and issues were present in the joint session with the family of the faculty of Languages in El Hilalia, which suffers from a severe shortage of teaching staff and academic infrastructure, in addition to many technical and engineering problems in the faculty.av
