A workshop on “Electronic Registration” At The University Development Center

The University of Gezira, through the Computer and Information Technology Center and the University Development Center, seeks to activate electronic interaction through its various outlets for students by registering through the university website. The University Education Development Center, in coordination with the Center for Computer and Information Technology and the Secretariat of Scientific Affairs, the supervising entity for students registration, prepared a training workshop on electronic registration. Scientific Affairs allocated an officer for registration and examinations at the university. The principle of the University Dr. Yasser Helal emphasized the importance of registration and examination offices, and the burdens they carry towards students. He pointed to the role of electronic registration in reducing the burden by saving time, efforts and resources, and facilitating the follow-up of students through supervisors.   Helal hoped that the workshop would come out with recommendations that lay down practical solutions for electronic registration and enhance its stability.  Director of the University Development Center, Dr.. Jamal Abu Idris, said that “The world is moving towards digital in transactions, as this helps in reducing the efforts made in the registration process, and raising the university’s classification through students entering automatically through registration.”  In addition to saving the efforts of students by making their registration processes from any site, which makes the site available within 24 hours, and facilitates the process of supervision for teaching staff through students’ pages.  frIt is noteworthy that the workshop aims to activate the electronic registration through the university’s website, to know its methods and steps, and how to prepare and fill in the data through registration, and to reduce the difficulties it faces.
