The Emergency Deans Council Decides the Resumption of the Study at the End of this January
The Council of Deans of the University of Gezira decided, in its emergency meeting today, chaired by the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Mohammad Taha to resume studies on the 31st of January for undergraduate students for the final year. The council announced the resumption of the study for the final batch and batch (41) outside Wad Medani Town on the fourteenth of next February and includes (law, science, business studies, languages, Arts and human sciences, education, communication sciences, animal production, health sciences and environment) to complete the second semester and then registration for the third semester immediately after completing the second semester. The Scientific Affairs announced the continuation of the resumption of studies for the different batches of bachelor and diploma students later, after coordination with the Deanship of Students Affairs and the National Students welfare Fund. The council directed the faculty deans to develop a quarterly plan to organize administrative work. Taha directed the deans of faculties to compel students to follow health guidelines, such as wearing masks on campus and inside classrooms, to ensure their safety and the continuation of the academic year. He emphasized the administration’s seeking to develop and improve work in health centers, and to provide the best promotional, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services in the campuses, directing the Health Services Department to follow up the health situation, and announced the Fund’s readiness to accommodate students. Taha praised with the experiment of electronic support in the faculties of pharmacy, mathematical and computer sciences, and El Hasahisa education, directing the Informatics Department to conduct a training workshop for electronic support for teaching staff in cooperation with the International Organization for Sustainable Development.
