University Council Approves the Budget of the Financial year 2019

The University Council of Gezira approved in its meeting today which chaired by the chairman of the University council Prof. Ali Mohamed Shamo, the budget proposal for the year 2019 to the University, which comes in light of the economic Complexities and increase in inflation rates, and called for the need for coordination with the Ministry of  Higher Education in the preparation of the budgets. The Council also approved the proposal for the general organizational structure of the University prepared by the Job Description Committee. The Council praised with the effort exerted in the completion of this project, stressing that it represents the outstanding work for the University in this field.  The Council discussed the proposal to organize the work of the University’s renaissance project for the year 2018, which aims to reach the University to the highest quality and sustainability in the field of teaching, scientific research ,community service, upgrading the University environment, increasing the numbers and fields of basic and applied research and innovations and improving their quality in all fields serving the community, in addition to provide the outstanding Service in all its forms of application such as projects, training or consultations, active participation in achieving sustainable development in Sudanese society, and the creation of more community initiatives to add to itmrs previous initiatives Which had a major impact on the issues of the country. The Council praised with the project, calling for intensified efforts to promote it which support the mobilization of resources and attract resources for the implementation of the project. The Council condemned the destruction of the faculty of commercial Studies in El Hilaliah, declaring its rejection of the destruction of public institutions and considered it unacceptable. He called on the Council to deal firmly in this case as a criminal issue and unjustified infringement, stressing the need for the judiciary to take its course in order to save lives and property.
