The Faculty of law at University of Gezira organized a lecture entitled: “Constitutional Structure of the Public Authorities in the forth coming Constitution”, spoke in it the Professor of Public Law at the Universities of Gezira and El Neelain Yasin Omer Yousif and the lecture was held at the International Hall at El Razai Campus. The speaker pointed out that contemporary legal states, including the Sudan, practice their systems of government through the legislative, executive and judicial authorities, which are autonomous and separate from one another according to the political system adopted by each state in accordance with the principle of separation of powers. He mentioned that the constitutional documents issued in Sudan are the five republican orders issued by the military council in the coup of 17 th of November ,1
958 and then the republican constitutional orders in the coup of 25 th of May 1969 and the constitutional decrees issued after the 30 th of June, 1989 military coup. He pointed out that the constitutions that will be set out according to the democratic system either be through a constituent assembly or be through the constitutional referendum .He stressed that the constituent authority should either be elected by a constituent assembly to set out the constitution or appointment a political committee from the political forces and then a technical committee to set out the constitution and submit it to the people in a referendum. participated in the lecture the Deputy Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohammed Babiker Al-Awad, as well as representatives of the Public Prosecution at the state, the legal administration, Universities , colleges , lawyers and police, As well as interested in political and constitutional affair.
