The Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Gezira, Prof. Mohammed Al-Sanusi Mohammed, started the 7th Scientific Cultural Week Activities on the sixth of August in the University City (Nisheishiba), which organized by the Faculty of Economics and Rural Development, across the slogan of (Our Sudan is the Most Beautiful According to a Better Economic Vision). Under the auspices and supervision of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Gezira, Prof. Mohammed Warrag Omar, at the period from 6 – 10 of this August, in the presence of the deans of the faculties and the representative of the State Police and an estimated number of employees and students of the Faculty. Prof. Mohammed Al-Sanusi, stressed that the week is considered as a season of scientific creativity because of the richness of the faculty curriculum and the distinguished students and the lecturers. He praised the efforts of those responsible for directing these activities, calling for the maximum utilization of the students’ cultural potential and to emerge their creativity to improve the students’ skills and abilities.
The Principal of the University, Dr Malik Al-Naeem, called for the necessary of continuity of these activities, explaining that the education could not be on the right way unless according to cultural activities and skills, pointing out that it has a positive effectiveness on the student. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Rural Development, Dr Mohammed Awad, announced that the Scientific Cultural Week Activity, included several scientific seminars and lectures, exhibitions, and students’ creativity, he valuated the efforts of the Administration of the University and the Deans of the different faculties on the succeeding of the Scientific Cultural Week Activity.
The Dean of the Students’ Affairs, Dr Rodwan Ahmed Gasm al-Seed, asserted that the University of Gezira is placing the first rank in all cultural fields, which it was obtained more than 60% of golden cups at the level of the Sudanese universities competitions, he announced their readiness for the arrangement of the cultural and sport activities for the year 2018. It worth to point out that the exhibitions which accompanying the Cultural Science Week Activities of the Faculty of Economics and Rural Development have been opened.
