The International Scientific Conference on Governance and Management in the State of Sennar, organized by University of Gezira from August 2-3, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Sennar, the Capital of Islamic Culture 2017, held its sessions at the International conference Hall at Al-Razi campus. The first session dealt with several issues related to the social dimension. The session discussed seven working papers in this regard. The first paper dealt with the Arab migrations in the country and its political and social implications. The paper pointed to religious and political motives in addition to commercial and economic exchange, beside the roads which the Arab tribes crossed. The paper also reviewed the social influences and customs in addition to the political effects that moved society from a Grazing society to a stable society in which religious culture spread and the rule became Hereditary. The second paper referred to the waves supporting the spread of Islam and Arab culture. The paper pointed to the role of jurists in spreading Islamic culture, and roaming the Sufis at the Arab level, and dealt with the role of the State in the promotion of synergy and unity in Sudanese society. It stressed that the Sennar state prevailed in Maliki and Aqdi doctrine. And called for the need for systematic and institutional communication of govern system . the third paper presented the class system and its political and economic impact in shaping the political and economic reality of the Kingdom of Sennar. The fourth paper dealt with social relations in the state of Alfong and its impact on the stability of the state, referring to the establishment of the state of Alfong and factors that helped its inception in addition to the composition of society and its impact on the stability of the state The following papers dealt with the axis of the family system and its contribution to the cultural and civilization heritage, highlighting Sennar’s role after the fall of Andalusia, and addressing the social and cultural life of women in the Sennar Sultanate. In the hall of Professor Mubarak Al-Majzoub in Al-Razi Medical City, the sessions of the conference reviewed a number of working papers dealing with Arab migrations to Sudan and its impact on the Arab countries, and the role of the population structure in the stability of the systems of governance and management in the Kingdom of Alfong, As well as the role of women in the system of government in the state of Alfong, and the status of social women and the status of women in the State Sennar. The session also reviewed working papers that discussed the Arab identity in the country of Sudan and its impact on the Sudanese identity, the role of women in the kingdom of Alfong, the relations of Abdalab in the Red Sea region and the journey of Sheikh Mohammed Sunni to Sudan and the method which dealing in Zakat and internal or external trade, markets and commercial and. The Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Sennar Project, the capital of Islamic culture ,Professor Ibrahim Al-gurashi , stressed that the scientific conferences organized by the universities in this regard are considered as a movement for the scientific arena and for activating the faculty members. It is also represent a great gain for the Sennar project as an estimated scientific effort. To rewrite Sudan’s history. He said that these conferences constitute a bridge for the convergence and exchange of ideas and knowledge, and revealed the Secretariat’s planning for the holding of 16 university conferences in this context in the universities of Sudan, Eight conferences have been held so far with the convening of the Conference on Governance and Management in the State of Sennar. He pointed out that the meetings of the conference discussed many administrative, social, economic and religious aspects in the space of the seminar, and appreciated the efforts of the University of Gezira and the state government to make these scientific conferences Successful and he described it a fruitful.
* Second session
In the second session, chaired by Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the project of Sennar, Capital of Islamic Culture 2017, Professor Ibrahim Al-gurashi Osman, many papers were discussed focused on the axis of management in the State Sennar, where the first paper dealt with the impact of the use of elements of the administration in prolonging the period of rule Alsenarii , The Sennar state created federal rule, applied centralism and decentralization of government and administration, and promoted Islamic identity. The paper recommended the rewriting of Sudanese history and the need to integrate science with each other to achieve results in the interest of comprehensive development, In addition to the establishment of a national fund to support and protect the Sudanese monuments and protect it in various eras, and the need to expand the study of the impact of the use of elements of management in the systems of governance and management in the Sennarian Covenant. The second paper dealt with the alliance between Al-Fong and Abdalabab, the motives, methods and results, highlighting the motives that led to the alliance, the suffering of the Arab tribes from the tyranny of Nubian kings, in addition to the economic factor. The paper reviewed the items of the alliance to eliminate the Kingdom of Alwa Christian, and was concerned about the division of roles, and referred to the political and economic results and social transformation that accompanied this alliance. The third paper dealt with management divisions in the Kingdom of Fong, explaining that the Fong are a historical era. The paper stood on the management division of the State of Sennar, referring to the various sheikhs, cities, villages and centers that were present in the Sultanate. And called for the need to open the door for specialized studies in history management , social and economic.
The fourth paper dealt with management organization in the Kingdom of Fong, and reviewed the origin of the Fong Kingdom and its various stages and the concept of management organization and administrative systems in Islamic civilization. it referred to the bodies and departments within the Kingdom of Fong, which included the enclosures of the Sultan, the Mangels and the sheikhs. The paper reported that the kingdom of Fong extended its rule over the Sudanese state for a period of time more than three centuries; where he took power during this period, “25” Sultana, indicating that the state of Alfong is one of the best kingdoms that ruled the Sudan The fifth paper reviewed the role of the army in the establishment of the Kingdom of Fong, in addition to the political and management aspects and functions and branches of the army. It referred to the role of the army in external expansion and countering insurgent movements and foreign invasion While the sixth paper dealt with the strategic and political motives of the alliance between Fong and Abdalab and its conditions, and the conflict and the end of the alliance. It is recommended to enrich the research on the form of political and social systems and the documentation of all intellectual theses that discussed and analyzed the basic motives that led to the Abdalabi Fonjawi alliance. The seventh paper dealt with the religious factor and its role in Sennar and Sufism and its national role, in addition to the development of the role of scholars and Sufis in the Sennar state. The paper called for the need to encourage research aimed at highlighting the political role played by the Sufi methods during the reign of the Fong kingdom, in addition to the attention to religious studies and the role played by Sufis in Sudan.
* Third session
The third session of the Social Forum discussed a series of working papers. The first paper examined the aspects of propaganda and persuasion in Sheikh Farah wad Taktook speech. It reviewed the Sheikh’s methods of public speaking, referring to the model he used, including the behavioral model, and assonance to tighten the attention in addition to Graphic representation and Dramatic feature . where he changed the events to literary texts The paper also dealt with features of the reality that established and founded the social institution from the reality of religion as it was based on the Quran and Sunnah, and treated Sheikh with the public with absolute transparency.
The session also reviewed a paper on religious education and its methods in the Kingdom of Alfong and the educational system, listing the institutions of religious education, including the Khalwa, the mosque and its role in the care of Quran and biography and its contribution to the dissemination of the values of Islam, And the most important books that studied the science of Tajweed, and the work of education system “Arfa”, an economic system in which the preparation of the master to take responsibility and the establishment of the management and supervision, where the mystical scientists in the Kingdom of Alfong had a major role in the dissemination of Islamic education. During the session, it presented a paper on the spread of Islam within the state of Sennar, and the methods used by scientists in their dissemination of Islamic values. Noting that the Khalawi and mosques are institutions with multiple functions that combine places of worship, schools, colleges to teach the Koran, and religion, which indicates the spread of Islam by the scholars and clerics in the society of the state of Alfong. The paper pointed out that the Sultanate of Sennar was the first political entity to convert to Islam. The paper discussed the role of the kingdom in the dissemination of Arab and Islamic culture in Sudan. Which dealt with the manifestations of Islamic civilization in the Kingdom of Alfong within the systems of governance and management, including the economic and social system and education, as well as the status of women in the Kingdom of Alfong. The paper pointed out that the establishment of the Sennar State was a natural result of the Arab and Islamic penetration through the centuries, and the accompanying mixing of Arab, Nubian and Zengian blood has laid a framework for the development of Sudan. The session discussed a paper on the role of scientists and Sufi men in spreading the Arab-Islamic culture in the province of Al-Fong And the contributions of Sufi men in the Sudan, as the Sultans of the Fong have brought many scholars, scholars and Sufis to teach people about their religion, in addition to their role in spreading the Arab Islamic culture in the Sultanate. A working paper on the education system in the Fong era was also presented. The paper discussed the philosophy and funding of education in the Fong era, Where it was built on the pattern of Islamic educational philosophy, which became the main foundation of the education system in the Kingdom. The society provided the students with shelter, food, drink and the teacher. The paper also discussed the methods of teaching, its methods and principles and the stages it goes through memorizing the alphabet. During the session, a workshop on the role and methods of education in the province of Al-Fong was reviewed, and the role of education in the Sultanate was reviewed. The efforts of Ghulam -allah bin abed Alrkaap , spread the knowledge in the Sultanate of Fong, As well as point out to the overlap of names, the places of science, and curricula in the Sultanate, such as Quran science, jurisprudence, Tajweed, and Hadith.
